Bhubaneswar: In view of the West Asia war crisis, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi discussed the supply of essential commodities in the state with district officials through a virtual meeting. He placed district-level enforcement squads on 24-hour alert at Lok Seva Bhawan.
The Chief Minister reviewed measures taken at the district level and instructed District Magistrates (DMs) to regularly monitor market conditions and take strict action against dishonest traders.
He also directed action against those spreading rumors and creating panic among the public.
Officials were advised to continuously monitor the availability of petrol, diesel, gas, fertilizers, and other essential materials. The CM emphasized the need for awareness programs to counter misinformation.
Sanjay Singh (ACS, Food Supply and Consumer Welfare) presented government initiatives, and district officials briefed the CM on local measures.
Several senior officials and ministers, including Krishnachandra Patra, Anu Garg, DK Singh, Hemant Sharma, Shaswat Mishra, YB Khurania, Usha Padhi, and Chitra Arumugam, were present at the meeting.
